bloated abdomen in the mountains

Last wednesday August 5 I went to San Juan Batangas to attend in a forum about Non-Handicapping Environment and Independent Living. The trip was great. The forum was interesting with reasonable number of attendees from the city engineer's office, owners of local resorts, Persons with disabilities from the area, Maam Ito from JICA, Saint Peter from federation of coops, executive director of NCDA and representatives from Life Haven.

When we got to the venue I felt a discomfort which later on I learned was caused by "over-inflated" abdomen. I am a quadriplegic and my abdominal muscles are flaccid. We came from Valenzuela which I think is even lower than the sea level (hey we always get flooded) and the trip brought us to the mountains. Well, I'm not sure if we are still high up in the mountains or near the beach already. The thing is ascending and descending again causes air to enter or maybe expand inside my belly. I cant burp and I cant fart voluntarily. Good thing there was a bed. I transferred and had my belly massaged, presto!!!, I farted generously and relieved my abdominal discomfort. Next time I will wear an abdominal binder to limit bloating.
